Wow wow wow. First time here. I got the fried chicken plate with corn bread, collards/cabbage mix and green beans. First off, let me just say that I need an ENTIRE PAN of that cornbread - best I have ever had!!!! The chicken was moist and tender with delicious crispy outer. The greens had a lovely hint of spicy - SO GOOD. The green beans were seasoned nicely and fresh. The service was fast and friendly and the place was nicely decorated with a nice vibe. I will definitely be coming back!
It's located in a large shopping center with easy parking. The first time I went here a few years back, I had the fried chicken plate and it was very tasteful. I went back for fried whiting last week and was very underwhelmed. The fish was fishy and not seasoned enough. The service was good and the restaurant was clean with a Mom/Pop shop feel. I would like to try the oxtails but I'll read others' reviews first.
Service with a smile. We were treated fantastic as we walked in and we were able to place our order quickly at lunch. Food was cooked to order as we expected and it was delicious. Restaurant was clean and the staff took good care of all our needs.
I've used V's Kitchen several times, both for takeout dinners and catering small events, and I've always been impressed! My family and friends have definitely enjoyed the food! The food is consistently delicious, with great flavors and high-quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I plan to continue supporting them for future events. Highly recommend!
I can't say enough good things about this place -- my girlfriend and I came in when it was empty and didn't know what to expect. Whoever was working the front warmly greeted us, took our order and then served out some of the best soul food I've ever had (and I used to live in NoLa) Fried chicken, cornbread, sweet potato fluff and the Mac and cheese. All delicious. You can count on me coming back here whenever I'm in the triangle
Great Food!!! Homecooked comfort food made just how Grandma used to cook. Best cornbread ever! I had the Fried Chicken plate with Mac n Cheese, Pinto Beans and Cornbread. Everything was delicious, served quickly and served HOT. Great service, served with a smile.
My mom treated me to dinner on Tuesday, 04-29-24. She'd highly recommended V's. I'd planned to get the veggie plate but she recommended either the ribs or the oxtail. I went with the ribs; they came with two sides. I chose the mac and cheese and the sweet potatoes. The entrée also came with cornbread. We also had a side of the cabbage/collard green mix. It was very good. The staff was pleasant. They had a good selection of music playing during our short wait. I forgot to take pictures of my food. Should my mom decide to bring me back, I'll have a tough time deciding on the veggie plate and the oxtail.
we loveeee V's! Whenever I want me a good southern cooked meal, v's does not disappoint. We enjoy the fried chicken, fries fish, ribs, cabbage, collards, sweet potatoes.. we always have a good experience here.
Let me tell you something!! This place is great the food is good and the lady working at the counter is a blast!! Me and my dad came to visit NC and stopped in this restaurant and it was really good. Especially that collard green/cabbage mix. A good space to sit and eat or to take out,l. Check it out if you're ever in town.
